JOHOR BAHRU, 10 August 2026 – The Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) successfully organised the UTM Bridge Model Competition 2026 – University Category at the Hydraulic & Hydrology Laboratory, Block M50, FKA UTM.
The competition brought together 20 teams involving approximately 114 participants and advisors from Malaysia and Indonesia, comprising 5 teams from Indonesian higher education institutions, 6 from Malaysian matriculation colleges, 3 from polytechnics/community colleges, and 6 from Malaysian universities.
International participants represented University of Riau, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Universitas International Batam, Institut Teknologi Bandung and Bengkalis State Polytechnic, while Malaysian participation included Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, UTM SPACE, Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Pahang, Kolej Matrikulasi Kejuruteraan Johor, Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah, Politeknik Ungku Omar and Kolej Komuniti Kuala Terengganu.
