Entry Requirements

University General Conditions

Have a minimum qualification of Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 2.50/4.00 in a related field or which is equivalent by a recognized University according to basic entry requirements.

Or

If the CGPA is between 2.00 – 2.49, the candidate must have more than five (5) years of work experience in a related field.

Faculty Special Conditions

Bachelor’s degree in science, technology and engineering with good honors from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia or from any Higher Education Institution recognized by the Senate;

Or

Possess a qualification equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of science, technology and engineering and have work experience in a related field recognized by the Senate. 

English language requirements (for international students): All international students applying at UTM must have an IELTS band 6 certificate or a TOEFL score of 550 (or 79 IBT) which is valid for 2 years from the date of graduation.
