• Primary Goal: To establish a direct collaborative framework between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and an industry/institutional partner to drive joint research activities and facilitate student career development.

• Core Objectives:

  • Student Sponsorship & Financial Support: Provide targeted financial aid (e.g., tuition fees and monthly allowances) for eligible undergraduate students.

  • Career & Industry Exposure: Integrate practical exposure through mandatory industrial training with the partner organization.

  • Graduate Employment: Guarantee a bonded employment path for sponsored students upon graduation.

  • Collaborative Research: Facilitate joint research initiatives, educational activities, and technical meetings between both parties.

• Primary Goal: Serves as an initial non-binding document to express mutual interest between UTM and a partner institution in strengthening academic and research collaboration based on equality, reciprocity, and fairness.

• Core Objective: To establish a preliminary understanding between both parties, laying the groundwork for negotiating and executing official, legally binding Definitive Agreements (such as an MoU or MoA) in the future.

• Primary Goal: Facilitates a structured working relationship between UTM and a partner institution to promote joint academic and research initiatives across specific fields or disciplines.

• Core Objective: To outline potential collaborative areas—such as information/knowledge exchange, joint research, staff/student mobility, joint supervision, and educational development—while protecting confidentiality and background intellectual property (IP) prior to entering separate binding agreements for specific activities.
