There are five research groups in the department, i.e. Ground Improvement Research Group (GIRG), Soft Soil Engineering Research Group (SSERG), Geohazards Research Group (GRG), Pavement Research Group (PRG) and Transportation Research Group (TRG). These groups also involve in contract researches and consultancy works in civil engineering design, site investigation works, and assessment of traffic and pavement conditions.
