Contractors and construction firms are increasingly using camera-mounted drones to monitor their construction activities. These devices provide real-time data on job progress. Drones help acquire useful information in a very expeditious and cost-effective manner. These devices are especially useful for larger construction sites that are otherwise very difficult and time consuming to monitor. Drones can greatly reduce project costs due to improved efficiency and safety. Some specific tasks these devices can be used for include: surveying land (this can make it much easier to determine what equipment you will need to complete a project, such as cranes or telehandlers), showing an aerial view of completed projects, for monitoring job sites to better ensure safety practices, inspections and much, much more.
